Our Approach

Sutura”, derived from a multitude of languages, has various meanings such as trust, safety, reliability, and protection. Here at Sutura Therapy, we are a space that focuses on these values, guaranteeing that you will be heard and in safe hands.

Who We Are

My name is Fatou, I am a Licensed Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical, and I am trained to support adults experiencing a range of challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, substance abuse, domestic violence, and interpersonal difficulties.

I am trained to support both adults and teens who are navigating a range of challenges. My areas of expertise include mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, substance abuse, domestic violence, postpartum depression, imposter syndrome, and work burnout.

My practice is inclusive, and I am experienced in working with individuals from all backgrounds, including people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. I offer compassionate guidance for issues related to cultural adjustment, ensuring a supportive and understanding environment for everyone.

I believe in recognizing the unique potential within each individual. My approach is highly tailored to help clients harness their strengths and achieve their personal goals. I am deeply attuned to the specific needs of everyone I work with, ensuring that the therapeutic journey is both effective and empowering.

As a clinician at Sutura Therapy, I bring extensive training and experience in psychotherapeutic interventions to support clients in their personal growth. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Washington, where I cultivated a strong dedication to helping individuals create positive, lasting change in their lives.

My background, rooted in West Africa, fosters my ability to connect with individuals from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. I am fluent in English, French, Wolof, and Soninke, which enables me to effectively engage with a wide range of clients. I find it incredibly rewarding to assist clients in overcoming barriers to their personal growth and to celebrate their progress throughout their therapeutic journeys.

SERVICES

I offer private pay options and provide sliding scale fees based on individual incomes. I am also in-network with Aetna. For clients using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a Superbill for reimbursement.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions. We are happy to work with you to make therapy affordable.
